Board of Directors

Frank DellaPenna, President

Frank DellaPenna is the first graduate of the French Carillon School. Upon graduation he returned to the United States where he accepted a sales position with the Verdin Company, a firm that specialized in church bells and carillons.

In 1985 he accepted a part-time position to play the carillon of the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. In 1991, an unknown visitor climbed the tower and watched him perform. When DellaPenna finished playing the visitor said, “People should see you do that.”

Two weeks later the visitor purchased America’s Only Traveling Carillon and placed it in the care of DellaPenna and Cast in Bronze began.

It was initially a solo act but evolved into a band with a keyboard player, bass player and drummer. Eventually Cast in Bronze was invited to perform at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. The band performed more than 1500 shows on the Fountain Stage and was asked to create a show for the holiday season. Cast in Bronze subsequently played for six consecutive holiday seasons at Epcot. When the contract ended, DellaPenna put on the costume and mask and developed the solo show that he currently performs.
